From 1 June 2004 Dykes van Heerden Inc has been operating in the Cape as part as its strategy to be "Conveyancers for South Africa." Louis Slabbert and Elana Hopkins are our partners at the Cape branch and are responsible for managing the same. The offices are situated in Bellville but due to the fact that we are prepared to sign the documents with clients at their homes or offices, we cover most of the Western Cape including Somerset West, Strand and Paarl.

Peter Dykes has a B.Comm. LLB. He has been practising as an attorney for 23 years. His areas of interest include litigation, commercial work and rendering assistance to new businesses. He particularly enjoys commercial work and problem solving.

Johan van Heerden has a B.Proc degree and was admitted as a partner to Dykes van Heerden in March 1995. He is a Springbok gymnast and tumbler. He particularly enjoys commercial matters and deserves a great deal of credit for building up the conveyancing department of Dykes van Heerden.

Louis Slabbert has a BA. B. Proc degree and has been involved with conveyancing for approximately 2 years. He particularly enjoys developments and enjoys all aspects of property law.

Elana Hopkins has a B.Comm LLM degree. She is a qualified conveyancer and notary public and attained her Masters in Law in 2000. Prior to completing her articles she was a junior lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch where she researched and wrote on the subject of Administrative Law.

Magnus Steenkamp joined Dykes Van Heerden during 2006 and holds the BA, LLB and LLM (Tax) degrees and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law. He specializes in conveyancing.

Lise Coetzee has a BA LLB degree. She was admitted as an Attorney in 2001 and as a Conveyancer in 2002. She is currently practicing as a Conveyancer in the Cape Town office.
